The word is out that in 2010 Mavizen could join TTXGP with their TTX02 electric motorcycle unveiled at the SEMA show in Las Vegas and with the bike’s RC8 chassis and approximately 100 hp Agni 95 electric motors, the team should stand a chance against the stiffer and stiffer competition. The 130 mph electric supersport motorcycle’s low speed battery management system was recently tested, so we got our hands on the detailed pictures and video made there. Enjoy!

Mad Stu is a Medical Despatch Rider who has developed his own techniques for riding his BMW K1100 LT motorcycle on ice and snow during the winter. He has the kindness to share his experience with us in the attached video. He apparently uses the same tires as during the summer and he only lowers the pressure inside them for more grip.

If you’re not needed to ride on snow and ice, well don’t, but if you do this video will sure prove helpful.

Top Speed Motorcycles

During the past year we’ve brought to you a lot of concept bikes that we would have loved to see heading to production and some even did, but now in the last days of 2009 we just had to post something about a concept motorcycle that we wouldn’t ever consider riding if ending up being produced. It is not that we don’t like the way it looks, but it is miles away from being comfortable or at least forgiving.

Built by RK Concepts of Austin, Texas, the RK Racer is powered by a Buell 1200 V-twin engine and you have to like the way the 27-degree rake and those 23-inch tires make it look, but with the gas and oil tanks made out of glass, it sounds suicidal to ride. That is why we look at it as to the Buell gone chick magnet and the bikini babe on it stands by us.

Top Speed Motorcycles

An unbeatable combination of style and performance is what characterizes the two bikes that got on our hands recently, Suzuki’s DR-Z125 and DR-Z125L. The same engine and chassis is used on both bikes, but the “L” model features bigger wheels, seat height and ground clearance and so it addresses to the taller crowd, while the simple model is what average sized riders would like to ride.
